Dylan interned with Earth Lab from 2017 to 2019, and then worked as a research assistant after graduating with a Geography degree. During his time at Earth Lab, Dylan assisted with field research, wrote blog posts, and wrote an undergraduate honors thesis. The research Dylan participated in centered around invasive grasses and fire ecology, and utilized big-data processing workflows to develop machine-learning imagery classification methods to detect ecosystem conversion as a result of fire and invasive species, at scale.
Dylan now works as a Technical Consultant at Esri, where he builds complex GIS tools and processes for clients, helping them achieve their GIS wish-list.
