Emily Nagamoto is a graduate student in the CU Boulder Geography Department, advised by Dr. Katherine Siegel. Her research broadly focuses on ecological shifts and climate impacts, and she is interested in integrating diverse datasets for understanding human-environment interactions. Currently, she is looking at post-wildfire forest recovery in a changing climate.
Emily completed her undergrad at Duke University, with a BS in Earth and Climate Science and a BA in Computer Science. Her previous research includes work on the economic impacts of extreme heat across sectors, drought and water quality changes, and heat and air quality co-benefits from emissions reductions.
Outside of work, she loves being outside hiking, running, and biking, as well as baking, listening to music and podcasts, and crocheting.
