The Minority Serving-Cyberinfrastructure Consortium (MS-CC), Internet2, Earth Lab, and ESIIL collaborate around hackathons to expand access to data-intensive, real-world problem solving opportunities. MS-CC/Internet2 bring a national network of institutions and cyberinfrastructure expertise, while Earth Lab and ESIIL contribute training in open environmental data science tools and workflows. Together, they co-design hackathons that emphasize hands-on learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the use of cloud-based resources, helping participants build technical skills while engaging with pressing environmental and societal challenges.
