Alison Post is the Program Manager for Earth Lab. In this role, she manages university engagement and milestone tracking, identifies funding and partnership opportunities, and participates in communication and outreach efforts.
She holds a PhD in ecology from Colorado State University and BS in biology from the University of Maryland and completed a postdoc position at Northern Arizona University. She is an ecosystem ecologist interested in how climate change impacts terrestrial ecosystems, primarily grasslands. She’s previously used large-scale field experiments to test how grasslands respond to altered precipitation patterns. Currently, she uses repeat digital photography (PhenoCam) and modeling to understand how climate influences the timing of seasonal transitions across diverse grassland ecosystems.
In her free time, Alison likes to hike, bake, play the flute/piccolo, and swing dance.
