Dawn Umpleby is the Executive Assistant for Earth Lab and the North Central Climate Adaptation Science Center (NC CASC) in CIRES at the University of Colorado Boulder. Following a long career in the investment management industry as an equity trader, Dawn followed her passion for earth science to Colorado. As a former Program Manager in the Department of Geophysics at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, she worked with STEM faculty, students, and consortium stakeholders for over ten years, including participation in the annual Geophysics field camp. Dawn has been with Earth Lab/CIRES and the NC CASC/CIRES since 2018, where she has also served as a member of the CIRES Members' Council (CMC) and Chair of the annual CIRES Rendezvous. Dawn received a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Syracuse University.
