Derrick Hiebert is a Certified Emergency Manager focusing on disaster risk reduction through planning, federal grants, and prioritizing investments in underserved and vulnerable communities throughout the disaster lifecycle. Derrick has led hazard mitigation programs at the state and large county level, working with hundreds of stakeholders to identify, secure funding for, and implement hazard mitigation plans and projects. Now with Deloitte, he focuses on delivering comprehensive public sector disaster resilience and climate adaptation solutions, always with a strong equity emphasis. Derrick supports the Climate Innovation Collaboratory team in an advisory capacity on data analytics products, emergency management, and equity.
