Dr. Tracy Teal was most recently the Executive Director of Dryad. She was previously the Executive Director of The Carpentries and a co-founder of Data Carpentry. She has a background in bioinformatics and microbial ecology with a PhD in Computation and Neural Systems from California Institute of Technology. Her work centers on democratizing data, bringing people to data and data to people, with the perspective that we can go further together.
