Vivian Li is a PhD student in the department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at CU Boulder. She works with Laura Dee and Aaron Clauset on modeling ecological networks and studying how ecosystems change due to disturbances and impacts from climate change. Previously, she received her B.A. in Information Science and French from Cornell University. She then worked as a software engineer for a startup creating software for R&D. She's interested in applying her computational experience to improve ecological models and quantitative tools in ecology. She will be joining Earth Lab as a Global Sustainability Scholars Fellow to improve environmental data science education.
